I've some (manual created) collections in Bridge CS5. How can I search within such a collection? I want all photos, that have Keyword1 AND Keyword2.
The standard filter doesn't provide an AND-connection between multiple keywords (only an AND-connection between dirfferent parameter).

I'm using Mac OSX 10.8.4 running Bridge CS6 5.0.2.4
All tips on forum re updates, patches, restart with option all tried.
AFAIK nothing in Bridge Forum pertaining to a consistent I/O Error I am getting when attempting to output either a PDF gallery or an html gallery from a small number of pdf files.
Ive tried adjusting file number, origin etc - in each case it looks like teh gallery is getting built but then all of a sudden you get a dialog box ith "I/O Error" = Stuck.

Anyone on the Forum have any ideas on how to fix this?

PS I do have an earlier version of Bridge (CS5.5) on my drive. Should I delete it?
PPS as mentioned have tried everything obvious.
Is there a way to lock the copyright metadata in the file so that it can not be stripped off the file?
Why do my images show almost 2 EV too bright in Bridge CC after filing from PS CC, but have a perferct match when opend on Bridge CS6?
There are tons of features that make it appealing to myself as a designer, and I really want to get into using it.
There are, however a few things that break up the fluid and humanized experience.
There are many icons, including folder icons, drives, links, etc. that do not scale (at least by default). Is there a way to enable this feature? Or are we doomed to have ultra low-res squashed and padded icons between our images?
As lame as it sounds, this is actually a deal breaker for me. I can't get around how tacky it looks with only some elements scaling.
Anyone got any tips, or advice?
Using mini bridge in PS CC , when displaying folders any subfolders do not appear as nested. Specifically there is no "dropdown" triangle so we can see the sub-folder(s)?
Please excuse me if this is a dumb/obvious question. I did try searching the forums for similar problems and didn't find anything that seemed to speak to my issue.
I'm having a problem where Bridge CS4 won't read/edit xmp metadata (specifically, keywords and descriptions in the IPTC panel) that I have entered using CS6. it will read some files, not others. The files are all .mp4s. Of these files, I can read/edit IPTC panel metadata for some of them in Bridge CS4; I can add metadata for all of them in CS6. I see no particular pattern in these files to explain what is and isn't read/editable in CS4.
My question is whether this is a compatibility issue between different versions of CS (in this instance, CS4 and CS6). i know it's a tired refrain to blame software when it could easily be user error, in which case I'd be frankly delighted to know what i'm doing wrong. Please bear with me as I give a few more details.
I'm using macs. I've tried this on multiple systems - for instance, on a mac pro 3 which for some reason has both CS4 and CS6 installed, i can add and edit keywords using CS6, but not when using CS4. Again, in CS4, some .mp4 files read/edit, others do not.
Bridge CS4 blames the files and tells me that the selected file cannot store xmp metadata, and that the properties cannot be modified. To be specific, in the metadata panel it says "this property cannot be modified"; in the keyword panel, it says, "This file (zzz.mp4) cannot store xmp metadata. No changes will occur." This seems odd, because I'm able to add xmp metadata for the same files in CS6 on the same computer, and other computers. I know this problem would disappear if all our computers were using CS6 (or CC), but unfortunately that's not a possibility at the moment. Some of them only have CS4.
Computer details (not an exhaustive list, but two instances): mac pro 3.1 running snow leopard, 16GB memory; macbook pro 4.1 running snow leopard, 4GB memory; adobe bridge cs6 (5.0.0.399) and cs4 (3.0.0.464).
Things I have tried:
Permissions - the files are set to read/write for everyone. Given that I can add/edit metadata in CS6, it doesn't seem to be a permission issue.
Purging the cache - other users seem to have had problems adding metadata in Bridge CS4 where purging the cache for affected files solved the problem. Didn't work in this instance.
Upgrading all affected computers to CS6/CC is beyond my control. I need to figure out why CS4 won't let me read/add/edit xmp metadata, if only for the sake of understanding the broader implications for interoperability.
Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.

Sorry, can't find any other way or place to ask this. I have MacPro early 2008 ID 3.1, Mac OS 10.6.8. Problem seems recent after Bridge upgrade. Thumbnails display in bridge vary tremenduously in "exposure," one is all washed out, adjacent too dark or just right. No relation to file size, profile. But when I open it in Photoshop, it's just right. Why should thumbnails (their "exposure") show no relation to the real image? If this isn't the place to ask about Bridge, where is the right place/way?
When I open Adobe Bridge CS6 and try to do a search within my external hard disk, it will give results from my internal hardisk only?! this is the 1st time I encounterd such strange issue. Because of this I do my search with windows and then browse each result with Bridge! which really annoying.
In the old Creative Suite environment you had to have a version of another Adobe product installed to use Bridge (i.e.-Photoshop, AfterEffects, Illustrator, etc.). Is this still true in Creative Cloud, or is it possible to use Bridge as a stand alone product?
This would be especially useful for our team that needs to share image assets across the department (using Bridge's keywords), but wants to reserve editing Photoshop capabilities to photographers and designers.

( Windows ) I recently updated from CS5 to CC for Illustrator and files were still opening from desktop click and Bridge CS5, but then when it stopped working several days later, I updated to Bridge CC so that they are both the same platform. It did not fix anything.
I am not sure if this is a Bridge problem or an Illustrator problem. If I double click an Illustrator file from the desktop or Bridge, (.ai, PDF, .eps, etc..) it will not open. It will bring up th AI screen, but not open the file. The only way I get my documents open to Illustrator is manually from Illustrator CC.
I have checked my preferences and all of the filetypes in question show Illustrator CC as my default program. I have also tried clearing my Bridge cache which was a fix that was recommended for similar problems.

While Bridge CC is almost a benefit to our studio, we're finding the "smart collection" criteria entirely crippling. It's frustrating as there really are just a couple of tiny additions that would make Bridge a life saver to us.
What we're finding severely lacking in the criteria options:
With just one or two of these options the smart collections could actually be useful.
Perhaps I'm just too new to Bridge, and there are workarounds, but certainly nothing obvious. (Filters keep getting reset, labels are binary etc)
Just for once i would like to use an adobe product without something that just irritates you for no god damn reason. What is this now

well i load 20mp or 22mp pixel photos , raw and jpg
i select the images i want to watch and with the spacebar i go in full screen preview
but in fit to screen they look bad , i mean with no crips , no details
but in full screen preview 100% the photos look great
why ?
is there an option to watch them in fit to screen , full screen preview with a great quality

I really like Bridge .. I like the way I can see multiple images on the screen .. I like the way it has multiple ways to use it .. and I really like the Export Module.
Now I find out that they have removed the Export Module (among other things) and are pushing us to Lightroom.
I really don't like Lightroom. I don't want to use a database .. I want to look at each and every photograph and organize it the way I want to organize it. I want to be able to change the organization when I want. In short, I want to be in control and not let the software control me.
I am moving to Photo Mechanic. And when my year of CC is up I intend to subscribe to Photoshop only.
Adobe? Are you listening?
